Club Championships
Club Championships is a competition held at the end of the season where swimmers showcase the skills they have been practising all season. 2025-26, the Championships are scheduled for Saturday, 21st March 2026. All swimmers must be nominated to compete, and eligibility rules apply as per the Club Handbook.
At Club Championships, the swimmers compete against swimmers of the same age and gender.
For the Pups Program, they will compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals in 12.5m events and a 25m Freestyle.
Swimmers in the Senior Program will compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals in 25m, and 50m championship events. They will also accrue Club Championship points for the four strokes in these distances, which will count towards the overall age champion in each age group.

Club Champs Frequently Asked Questions
Q: We have only attended a few club nights this season. Can my swimmer compete at the Club Championships?
A: Swimmers must have competed in at least 20 events for the season to be able to compete at Club Championships. This rule ensures fairness to swimmers who have competed at club nights all season.
Q: We have registered as second swimmers or come-and-try swimmers. Can my swimmer compete at the Club Championships?
A: No. Swimmers must be full members of the Samford Swim Club to compete at Club Championships
Q: I am under ten and usually compete in the 50m events. Do I have to swim in the 25m events?
A: Yes. Depending on age, some children may need to swim up or down in distance. There is no option to swim a shorter distance if their age group requires 50m, and similarly, swimmers cannot enter the 50m events if their age group is scheduled to swim 25m at club championships. This longstanding club rule is aligned with the club's records.
