Progression Times

In order to swim 50m in a particular stroke, there are set progression times over 25m that must be met.

When a member has swum 25m for a designated stroke within the time indicated below, the swimmer may graduate up to 50m for that stroke.

A swimmer may nominate to remain at the lower distance. However, if the swimmer achieves the set progression time on three occasions, they will not be awarded any points thereafter for that stroke until they progress up.

The following table shows the progression times for 25m, as well as a guide for the progression from 12.5m to 25m.

When progressing up from 12.5m to 25m, the stroke technique should also be considered to ensure that good form can be maintained over 25m.
