Bronte Barratt Shield

This event is to honour Bronte Barratt OAM, and her contribution to swimming, our local community and the Samford Stingrays Swim Club.

The Shield is now in it's second year, after our highly successful first carnival saw 270 swimmers at the Samford Pool.  The Shield is designed to be a friendly team competition between local Second and Third Division Clubs within Brisbane; with an emphasis on fun and good sportsmanship!

The inaugural Bronte Barratt Shield was held at the Samford Pool on 28th February 2015.  This five-way meet was the first of its kind to be held at the Samford pool in many years, and is set to become a fixture for many years to come.

It was fantastic to see the Samford pool come alive, and Samford were thrilled to win the Shield!

2nd - Electric Eels Zillmere

3rd - The Gap Gators

4th - Dayboro Dolphins
